Robur Ristorante Pizzeria

This hidden gem of a restaurant, truly a local spot frequented by locals, offers generous portions of delicious seafood pasta and other seafood dishes at very affordable prices. We discovered this place on our first day in Tuscany through Google, initially drawn in by the promise of a beautiful sunset view. When we arrived, the reality didn’t quite match the photos we’d seen online, which made us a bit skeptical. However, we decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did. The food was absolutely mind-blowing, far exceeding our expectations for such an unassuming spot. In fact, we were so impressed that we returned on our third day before moving on to our next destination. This restaurant is truly a hidden treasure, and we can't recommend it enough.

This restaurant was recommended by the bar manager at our favorite hotel in Barga and it was so good we went back again the very next day! The seafood was so fresh which was quite a pleasant surprise since we were in the middle of Tuscany and the pasta and risotto was equally amazing. Finally, the tiramisu was one of the best I have had. Mara, Daniella, and I wish I could remember the other name, but they were all amazing. But, we asked to meet the chef, Sadiq, so we could let him know how good the food was! Go here when in Barga.

Very surprising to find such excellent seafood up a hill. Lovely location, with panoramic views from the terrace very generous portions and a reasonable price. A friendly welcome and service even though we were late for our reservation having gone further than planned on our hike. As the sun moved round they came to relocate our table so we were still in the shade. We will definitely be back. If you are planning a walk in the area, the nearby caves are very interesting to explore
